Just when we thought that things were looking up for Ghostbusters 3 despite all the unfortunate events which quickly came to the fold, it appears as if Ghostbusters 3 is simply plagued with bad luck.
It was recently announced that Ivan Reitman would not be returning to direct the third installment for Columbia Pictures, but 21 Jump Street and Lego Movie duo Phil Lord and Christopher Miller were then quickly attached to direct.
However, that appears to be no longer the case as The Wrap’s Jeff Snider took to Twitter to announce the following regarding the duo’s departure from the third film;
Hearing LORD & MILLER ended up walking away from GHOSTBUSTERS 3 job. They were the studio’s choice but wanted to keep their options open…
Once again, Columbia Pictures are on the hunt for a new director for the project.
