WTF! there rebooting this again its the 13th one in the frandchise it better be good anyways here's the info
David Bruckner, writer and director of the infamous "Amateur Night" segment in V/H/S -- yep, the one that now makes you shudder at the phrase "I like you" -- is reportedly in negotiations with Paramount and Platinum Dunes to direct the Friday the 13th reboot.
According to The Wrap, it's unclear what approach Bruckner will take with his version of Jason Voorhees and Camp Crystal Lake. Last October, we heard rumors that the producers were thinking about incorporating found footage into the new movie (though it's uncertain if that remains the case). If they do go that route, Bruckner would be an ideal choice to helm the project, as found footage played a key role in "Amateur Night."
Regardless of format, it's likely that Friday the 13th will go the micro-budget route, especially given the success of other barebones horror pics like Insidious, The Purge and The Conjuring.
Friday the 13th, which has Platinum Dunes' Brad Fuller and Andrew Form producing alongside Michael Bay, hits theaters on March 13 (a Friday, as luck would have it), 2015.
