Stellan Skarsgard confirmed in an interview with Total Film that he would be reprising his role as astrophysicist Dr. Erik Selvig in Avengers: Age of Ultron. The character has appeared in both Thor films, and The Avengers. Here's what he said,
"I'm going to be in Avengers: Age Of Ultron, a small appearance. It's something really nice."
Skarsgard went on to reveal that he will be naked again in his next appearance in the Marvel cinematic universe,
"Yeah, I was naked again. They called my agent and said, 'Do you think Stellan will mind being naked?' My agent laughed his head off. Yeah, I almost insist!"
When asked what he could say about Age of Ultron, he provides an idea of why his character is coming back.
"First of all, I don't know what I'm allowed to say, but usually they call me in if they need something explained. There's a lot of explanations to do when it comes to that universe."
The Joss Whedon-directed film stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, James Spader, Cobie Smulders, Thomas Kretschmann, and Paul Bettany. It hits theaters on May 1st, 2015.
