It was a slow weekend at the movie theater this weekend, leaving the new Adam Sandler flick "Funny People" with no competition, so it easily took #1.
The new film, starring Sandler and Seth Rogen, debuted at #1 at this weekend's box office, pulling in $23.4 million.
"Funny People" debuted well below most of Sandler's comedies, which typically start with $30 million to $40 million opening weekends, according to the Associated Press. It pairs Sandler as the dying comic with Seth Rogen as his new assistant and joke writer.
In at #2 is the fantasy adventure "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince", taking in $17.7 million in its third week, bringing its domestic total to $255.5 million.
"G-Force" slipped to #3 this weekend, after taking the throne last week, selling just over $17 million.
Katherine Heigl's new flick, "The Ugly Truth", landed at #4 in its second week with $13 million.
This weekend's other new release was 20th Century Fox's family flick "Aliens in the Attic," opening at #5 with $7.8 million.
A new horror flick, called "The Collector," debuted outside the top ten with an estimated $3.6M at 1,325 theatres.
Next weekend, look out for the brand new "G.I. JOe: The Rise of Cobra" to be a big draw, while other new films include "Julie & Julia" starring Meryl Streep, and "A Perfect Getaway" starring Milla Jovovich.
