Geekfact 101: It's just as [MENTION=458]Big Exodus mentioned the prestory of "The Lords of The Ring" trilogy. Before J.R.R. Tolkien wrote LOTR he wrote two books about Bilbo, which actually are considered just as good as the books for the previous movie.
