Where the hell did this come from!? I'm not sure how I missed this, but the BBC has developed a massive new series with Focus Features called The Hollow Crown which adapts four of William Shakespeare's classic plays including Richard II, Henry IV Part 1 and Part 2, and Henry V. It also has in incredible cast of actors involved such as Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Jeremy Irons and Ben Whishaw.
Just to give you an idea of how epic this series is its running time is over 500 minutes long! The series comes from executive producer Sam Mendes (Skyfall), and here's a brief description:
Filmed with both epic scope and intimate detail, the rise and fall of kings is brought to life like never before in these internationally acclaimed adaptations.
The Hollow Crown will be released on iTunes, VOD and DVD on August 27th. I can't wait to watch this!
