The Weinstein Company releases the first full-length trailer for the sci-fi film, The Giver. It centers on a young boy named Jonas, who lives in a seemingly perfect community, without war, pain, suffering, differences and, most importantly, choice. However, the veil is pulled from over his eyes... and he finally finds the truth behind it all.
The film is based on Lois Lowry's young adult novel of the same name, which was the winner the 1994 Newbury Medal and has sold over 10 million copies worldwide.
The Giver its theaters August 15.
