Earlier today, Studio Canal and Aardman released the second teaser trailer for Shaun the Sheep the Movie. We didn’t post the first teaser trailer that was released earlier this year, so I included that below as well. The first teaser didn’t contain any actual footage from the Wallace and Gromit spin-off, but it did have some funny gags so it’s worth checking out. The newest teaser, however, gives us a look at some of the Ferris Bueller’s Day Off-type shenanigans Shaun, Bitzer, and The Flock get into in the Big City. But there’s a little more to the story than that. Here’s the synopsis:
When Shaun decides to take the day off and have some fun, he gets a little more action than he bargained for. A mix up with the Farmer, a caravan and a very steep hill lead them all to the Big City and it's up to Shaun and the flock to return everyone safely to the green grass of home.
The new teaser is set to Teddybears’ “Cobrastyle,” which is pretty much the go-to song for any trailer that is fast paced and wacky, whereas John Murphy’s “Adagio in D Minor” is the go-to trailer song for dramatic action films. Dear trailer editors, please mix it up a little.
Shaun the Sheep the Movie was written and directed by Mark Burton and Richard Starzack. It will hit UK Cinemas on February 6th, 2015 and will be released on April 24th here in the states.
