Anyway, Nirvana is decent. I think Alice In Chains was a better band, but there's no denying their place in how they revolutionized grunge. Cobain's suicide kinda of overrated them, but they're still great to listen to.

I'll never understand however, why people compare Cobain to Tupac.

I think the main comparison is that they were both very talented artists that had a special ability to touch people. and both died young.

Agreed, both brought their respective genres to a whole new level.

This thread's reminded me that I need to check out more artists in the grunge genre.

nirvana was such a great band. they made there own sound and really made a lane for grunge/punk music. although some people take the nirvana being the greatest band of all time they can make an argument for it. cobain was such a talented guy and its terrible he left us so soon. another artist i really get upset about when i think what could have been!

love their music ... but i also think that only ppl who listened to them in the 90s can truly appreciate their contribution to music and how awesomely unique they were..
