I do the try before I buy method. I'll download it and listen to it. if I really like it then I'll got out to buy the cd.
Yup yup yup, thats the method Im on right now. Kurupt - The Streetz Iz A Mutha is currently Mp3 but come friday it will be actual copy Its just kinda ridiculous when people are just "nah fuck it mp3 all the way doesnt matter who its from"
I buy CDs of artist I really like. I like to know I'm ripping them to the PC at the highest quality mp3. I like having the booklet and disc in my hands. Most people don't know how to rip to the best sounding mp3. So I do it myself & share them. I can also rip to FLAC.
I like CDs because I can rip the tracks at the best quality. A lot of stuff is not available so I have to mainly settle for mp3's. I remember when 96kbs and 128kbs were top shelf for mp3's. :-)
Sure i prefer hard copies over mp3's, but mp's are still better than nothing lol
^^ Not only because of the quality, its just nice to have the og press of a cd, with booklet and shit like that!!
BUT everyone here should already know i am a Tape fanatic!!!!!
i remember myself maybe 8 years ago, i was bumpin' never B peace die a.k.a. dumpin' this life i lead and all of them og's in bad BAD quality, but i enjoyed them more than i do now, thats just the way it is, these are old memories!!!
one example: i listen to a song over many years its in bad quality, then after 5-8 years the cdq comes out and after that i dont really listen to that song anymore.... its always the same!!!
haha.. i would definitely like the cd more then anything else... no doubt... the quality is always nice and like marky said... you get the booklet too.. i always enjoy having and reading the booklets...
So mp3 (192kbps and above) is fine to me. I don't have professional ecquipment, and mostly listen music on PC and car.
But if wav is available, then fine. I'll have it. If it's not, then mp3 all the way.
exactly how i feel, as long as i like the song & i enjoy it fuck the quality, i dont care if its wav......i play songs on my mp3 player & cds, how the fuck do you expect me to make a cd of wavs?, about 2 songs will fit the disc
