Michael Jackson took time out of his busy schedule of hiding behind umbrellas and dodging child pornography cases to issue a statement that he isn't going to help his family. Michael issued a statement saying he will not be part of the Jackson 5 reunion next year saying “My brothers and sisters have my full love and support, and we’ve certainly shared many great experiences, but at this time I have no plans to record or tour with them,” Michael Jackson said in a statement. "I am now in the studio developing new and exciting projects that I look forward to sharing with my fans in concert soon.”
Michael Jackson issued the statement because his brother Jermaine recently said that the Jackson 5 were reuniting next year. "This has been a long time coming for the Jackson family to get back together," Jermaine told the AP. The Jacksons received a lifetime achievement award from BMI in early September in Los Angeles, but brother Marlon made it clear how he feels when he was asked where Michael was, he replied "I don't know. I think he's in Egypt riding a camel or something.
