Nate Dogg’s Estate Sued For Hundreds Of Thousands In Medical Bills

The family of hip-hop singer Nate Dogg is being sued for hundreds of thousand dollars for medical bills that were never paid.

TMZ.com reports that Nate Dogg moved into a CareMeridian treatment facility in 2008 call shortly after he suffered his second true.

The center, which is dedicated to caring for patients who have suffered traumatic injuries, claims that the singers family never paid the bill.

Nate Dogg allegedly received treatment from 2008 until 2010 and racked up more than $290,000 in medical bills.

According to the lawsuit, Nate Dogg’s manager personally guaranteed CareMeridian reps that the bills would be paid.

A court recently handed down a default judgment, ordering Nate Dogg and his estate to pay $293,512.52 to CareMeridian.

I wonder how much someone like Nate Dogg made after money went to record labels, managers, publicists etc. He hadn't released an album in awhile at the time of his death and wasn't quite the go to hook man he was in the early 2000s either.

I'm glad I live in a country with a decent health system, I couldn't imagine being a touring musician in America.

According to TMZ, former Nate associate David Michery says that he vowed to pay the bill back in 2010, but that "none of Nate's so-called rapper friends" cared to help out following his death.

"I was the only person who would come forward because I didn’t want him to die," he said. "Me and Nate have 20 years history together and I did what everyone should have done and tried to save his life ... not let him get kicked out in the streets and die."

Michery claims that he will make up the difference by releasing previously unheard Nate Dogg songs, and says that he has no regrets. "Not at all ... I would do it again in a minute. I just wish that the people he looked out for all these years and the people who claim to love him so much would help out."

i feel for warren as he doesnt have that kind money to spend but his brother is dr fuckin dre and he certainly has it. dre and snoop should pay this and set up a trust for nate's kids and they can say they did their bit. nate should have taken more care of his finances though before he had his stroke. for all his claiming that suge stiffed him he was a rare example of being able to leave death row and take his masters with him to release on his own label

Yeah I can understand Warren not being able to afford to help out much as he might be big with us but he has only had one major hit in the last 20 years or so. The mainstream doesn't know Warren for shit and even other hip-hop heads. He also had legal trouble in the 90s and has a family to feed.

Someone other than Snoop who was a friend that could afford to help? Daz. From his Death Row settlement to Dogg Food to his advance from So So Def to his indie records (some of which have sold quite well) Daz has enough money. And what about other people Nate helped make rich that aren't DPG? People forget you fast.
