Popular 1990s Compton, Calif. duo, 2nd II None, is slated to return with a new project next Tuesday (July 31) ... in the form of a greatest hits set.
The duo, comprised of KK and Gangsta D, will release a 15-track set entitlted Infinite, boasting classic songs from their catalog, as well as appearances from DJ Quik, Hi-C, AMG, and the late Mausberg. Among the album's song are their 1992 single and biggest hit to date, "If You Want It," off their self-titled, DJ Quik-produced debut. However, it excludes the LP's other hit single, "Be True to Yourself".
2nd II None released their 1991 debut via Profile Records, and would peak at #83 on the Billboard 200. Despite the solid start, it would take eight years before they released their sophomore album, 1999's Classic 220.
In between, the duo recorded an album titled The Sh**, produced by Quik, and slated to drop via Death Row Records. However, it was ultimately shelved.
