Former 2 Live Crew front man Luther Campbell has won a battle with the state of Florida and will be allowed to coach high school football.
Luke has spent the past four seasons as assistant high school coach at Miami Northwestern High School.
But the former rap star/mogul only had a temporary certification to coach, that was slated to expire in 2013.
Luther Campbell was fighting the Florida Department of Education, who claimed that the rapper lacked the “required good moral character” to coach the students.
At issue was Luke’s raunchy past is a rapper and member of 2 Live Crew, the group that released hit singles like “Me So Horny,” “Hey We Want Some P***y,” “Move Somethin’” and others.
Rap career aside, Luther Campbell has been coaching football in the Liberty City neighborhood of Miami for over 20 years.
On Friday (August 3), an administrative judge in Tallahassee, Florida, certified Campbell to coach high school football.
But Luke must meet several conditions, in order to become head coach.
These include ethics classes, in addition to proving that he is up-to-date on all of his child support payments.
Additionally, Luke must give the judge 30 days before recording performing an explicit song, or making an appearance that involves sexually explicit behavior.
