Kendrick Lamar has come a long way since his teen years, of growing up in the hood and following up the success his fellow TDE labelmate Jay Rock was experience just a few years ago. Today, he's one of the west's most promising artists, and gets co-signed by the legendary Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and The Game.
In a recent episode of VEVO LIFT, the young rapper takes cameras with him as his visits Centennial High School in Compton, where he went as a youth. In the clip, he recalls failing P.E. class, but excelled in English class because he loves to write.
Kendrick also recalled the gang beefs within his neighborhood, and how he hate walking home because of it.
