Atlanta rapper Future will head to Tallahassee, Florida to help celebrate Florida A&M University’s 125th anniversary.
Future will be on hand to kick off the school’s 2012 football season, along with FAMU alum, DJ Demp, during the university’s halftime show, aimed at giving fans and supporters of the school an exciting, new experience to replace the performances of their award-winning but suspended marching band.
“We are very excited about the 2012 football season and the talent we have seen in our team,” said Derek Horne, FAMU Athletics Director. “This is an exciting time for FAMU football, and the Athletics program has created an energetic and vibrant halftime production to give fans and supporters a spectacular experience. Having Future perform at the first home game sets the tone of what fans can expect throughout the entire season.”
Other personalities attending the event include producer Will Packer, Joe Bullard, DJ Neaux, and others.
Future will also host a meet and greet with students during his visit to the school, which takes place on September 15, when the team takes on Hampton University.
