The question is appropriate cause I don't try to keep up with these new dudes. If a video or song crosses my way, then I'll take a look. Other than that R.I.P. Pac & Biggie.

So how can you put yourself in a position to ask that question if you don't "keep up with these new dudes"

That's like saying, "Oh that football team sucks, they're terrible" and you haven't even checked their season record or watched their games

This isn't a RIP 2Pac & Biggie thread no need to go there.

My RIP to Pac & Biggie is a god bless the dead and to REAL hop hip.

As I said before, If a song or video comes my way I'm check it out, but I don't go listening out for these dudes.

I'm from the golden era of hip hop. Everybody had their own original sound and style compared to these new dudes.

These new guys come right out of an assembly line. Nothing is hand crafted anymore.

You take two people, 2Pac & BIG, what about the rest? Eazy, Big L, all them other 90's rappers. Your argument is proving that you majoritize < not a word > a certain number of rappers and then put them all together, so in today's world, if a few is wack, they're all wack.

            That thought process is, wack.

I choose them because to me, when they died, that's when it was over for hip-hop...for me. That pretty much began my cut-off point & as the years went on, nobody wowed me lyrically.

I base these new guys on lyrical content and if you're doing these mickey mouse rhymes, then I cant mess with you.

After all the work the dudes before put in to elevating it, its an insult to the craft.

Went to the store....bought some bread...got home...had some head. Got two fingers...waving high...gatorade...my mouth dry. ~ Mickey Mouse Shit

They're not all doing Mickey Mouse rhymes, you're generalizing from the charts again.

Music evolves, did you think Hip Hop was gonna stay in one spot forever

I've heard enough Rick Ross, Two Chainz and most of those other dudes to see the same exact pattern...no distinct originality. It's like they scare to branch out and sound different.

I never ever thought Hip hop would drop this low....NEVER!!!!!

I'm sorry but if that's what it took then I'm not complaining, it's keeping Hip Hop relevant regardless how much you hate it. You'd be utterly stupid to say you'd rather Hip Hop lose it's existence entirely in the world like Techno did from the 90s

All I want for hip hop is to maintain a high level. Too many years and skill has been put into this art to let it drag like this.

Many want to rapper, but aren't true rappers. It's an art and these new dudes don't seem to understand that.

This thread wouldn't even be open if it weren't for Hip Hop today, and because of that it's bringing back your admiration for the older generation of Hip Hop, you can hate it all you want, but you love it. Because you wouldn't have ended up hating Hip Hop without loving it first, ya dummies

Funny thing is, I don't rap at all! I just know when someone is saying something that holds weight versus someone who's not.

I've been listening long enough, so I should know by now.

2 Chainz and Ross aint bad, they got strong verses
and for production - if beat is bangin - then its bangin, it could be great even usin modern methods, e.g. "Mercy", "Show Out", "Money Trees", "Bitch Dont Kill My Vibe"
yall hating on 2 Chainz when Kendrick Lamar raps on trap beats too (take Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe), raps with modern flow and some of his verses are wack as fuck (1 Train from ASAP Rocky's album, he raps with Lil Wayne voice, what the fuck?)
Shit, even Lil Wayne got strong verses sometimes (but for me voice is still ruining them)
and Outlawz are rappin on trap beats too. i bet 2Pac would par on tgem too if he was alive
BRAND NEW MIXTAPE "WELCOME 2 AFTERMATH" ALREADY ON DATPIFF CHECK IT OUT DOPE REMIXES FEAT. DR. DRE KING TEE ICE CUBE NUTT-SO DANNY BOY THA DOGG POUND K-CI & JOJO BIG SYKE SPICE 1 OUTLAWZ

We know there will never be another pac, but everyone is so fkn garbage nowdays i just dont understand how it gets airplay.

I've listened to big sean to see if maybe there was something i was missing but nope.. then i'm browsing through vevo.com and come across the new Jessie J song (very popish) and he has a verse along with this uk dude named Dizzee. And of course not only did seans verse suck donkey nuts, but this uk dude fucking murdered him. Here is the track below:

Sorry for the rant guys, i figured if anyone would agree with me on this it would be 2pac fans. Big Sean, souljah boy, waka flaka, gucci mane, lil wayne... all in the same category as far as i'm concerned.
u can thank the stupid kids today cause they say he go hard
