Good question but unfortunately I don't think there is a definitive answer. One could only speculate. I think like most things they may have just grown apart. There may be business reasons as to why they don't associate. Behind the scenes politics stuff or maybe it's something personal that's not public knowledge. Not exactly sure. I think it would definitely be interesting to hear them do a song in 2013. I can still remember when the first song they were ever on together came out. "The Anthem" back in '99.

Interesting. What's funny is I've actually clicked on that Xzibit Montreality interview, (I like those interviews and I've watched many), but when I clicked on that one I had watched a bunch already that day so by that point I was board with them so I never watched this whole interview all the way thru. But I watched the first few minutes before. I also knew about his new album Napalm but haven't paid much attention to it so I never heard this track "1983".

I since went back and listened to it. And by the sounds of it they definitely had a falling out for sure. My interpretation of it is Paul called Xzibit and said "shit wasn't working" (what was not working out one could only speculate) but Xzibit then says "words were exchanged" between him and Paul Rosenberg. What those words were and what the existent of that conversation was about is unclear. But Xzibit says he told Paul to "tell me that shit in person". Basically saying, Paul was talking tough on the phone and X said tell me that to my face. But Xzibit suggests that Paul probably twisted the story when Paul told Eminem about the call. Then Xzibit says he seen Em but Eminem's perception of X had changed, and X says it was probably because Paul misconstrued what Xzibit said when Paul explained their conversation to Eminem.



But good find glad we could clear that up.

The difference between them, sounds like a big misunderstood and a really stupid story which you could clarify Surely having a conversation with four eyes X and EM.

thats good news. Haven't heard much from em in a while. I rather have a solo album than a joint album.
