Kanye West has never been one to be modest, so it's no surprise that he's declared one of his latest verses... "the greatest in rap history."
The hip-hop star took to Twitter Saturday (July 20) and made the bold statement. "I open the debate... The 2nd verse of New Slaves is the best rap verse of all time... meaning ... OF ALL TIME IN THE HISTORY OF RAP MUSIC, PERIOD," Ye tweeted (@KanyeWest).
From there, the debate began with most followers responded in disagreement.
"They throwin' hate at me / Want me to stay at ease / F*** you and your corporation / Y'all n****s can't control me / I know that we the new slaves," Kanye spits on the Yeezus single.
His followers flooded Twitter with their responses, most in disagreement. Some called him downright crazy for making the assertion, while others shared their favorite Kanye verse.
Azealia Banks also responded, saying her song was better. "YUNG RAPUNXEL >>>>," she tweeted.
What do you think? Do you agree with Kanye's statement?
