After being arrested earlier this week, DMX’s publicist claimed that the incident would not affect his scheduled appearance on the Wendy Williams Show on Wednesday.
Well, it did.
DMX was a no show at the weekly taping of the show, which is filmed in New York. Shortly after his unexpected absence, his publicist released another statement, stating that X could no longer attend the taping because of “media scrutiny.” The statement went on to apologize fans and to declare that X would not be taking anymore interviews and is instead “focusing on making music and organizing a world tour.”
X was arrested earlier this week in a South Carolina airport for driving with a suspended license and not having insurance or license plate tags. X’s team took to Twitter to defend the Yonker MC’s actions shortly after, saying that he was just “taking a chance to catch the flight in time, so he was doing the right thing in the wrong way.
