Perez Hilton’s Insensitive Michael Jackson Coverage Backfires
Everyone was shocked Thursday (June 25) when news of Michael Jackson's heart attack was reported, followed by reports of his death.
While some were sadden, others were outraged when blogger Perez Hilton posted an entry on his website, claiming Jackson's hospital admission was fake, so the King of Pop could bail on concert commitments.
However, upon learning the heart attack was very much real and that MJ had died hours later, Hilton edited his post, removing the insensitive comments.
But, the damage was done though. A trending topic appeared on Twitter called #unfollowperezz, where users unfollowed his account and expressed his distaste for his comments.
Rocker Pete Wentz blasted Hilton as well, and the two exchanged words numerous times throughout the day over the blogger's insensitivity.
Comedienne Sarah Silverman tweeted an ill-timed joke about MJ's death as well: "Did you hear Michael Jackson's kids are free? That's not nice. I'm sorry. Ugh, I feel bad for saying that. LOOK A BLUE CAR!"
Being the hypocrite he is, Hilton immediately chastised her: "I love you, but that's low!"

The Game Gets Assist From Chris Brown, Diddy For Michael Jackson Tribute
Only a day after Michael Jackson's untimely death, a few artists have come together to record a tribute song in remembrance of the late, great pop star.
When Los Angeles based DJ Skee told his good friend, The Game, about the passing of Michael, the rapper was shocked. But once it sunk in, he locked himself in the studio and came out with "Better On The Other Side."
"After I called Game and told him the news, he put this tribute together and produced this amazing record," DJ Skee tweeted Friday morning (June 26). "Yesterday I told Game about MJ's death and he didn't believe it."
The new song, which leaked Friday (June 26), featuring Game spitting alongside Chris Brown, Diddy, Polow Da Don, Mario Winans, Usher and Boyz II Men, while DJ Khalid produced the track.
"Everybody bow they head, for a legend / Don't breathe for a second / Now, let the air out, grab the hand of somebody you care about, so you can hear my message / My confessions. Somebody tell Usher, I seen him moonwalk / I guess the young Thriller touched em. Like he touched me, like he touched you, so carrying his legacy is something I must do," Game spits on the song's first verse.
Before the first verse ends and breaks into the chorus, Game explains who he hopped on the phone with to make the song happen.
"First thing I did when I heard was call Puff, cause him and Mike tried to stop the beef between us. Who is us? Me and 50, that beef is dead and the young Mike Jackson gone take us to the ledge," he raps.
Chris Brown assists by singing on the hook: "This the type of song that make the angels cry / Look up in the sky and I wonder why / Why you had to go, go? I know it's better on the other side," sings Brown on the hook.
Diddy speaks on both the intro and outro of the song, saying a few words in Michael's memory.
"You are the one that showed us 'We are the World'. You are the one that showed you we could moon walk. You gave us the beat, the rhythm, you gave us the soul. Through us, your legacy lives on," Diddy says.
