it would be a dream come true, they dont even have to package it together. Just have a deluxe edition with the OG's.

However, if they clear the samples then they should just make them all double disc and package them together just to double the amount of sales. But then again giving people a choice also allows the price to differ since you are not paying for two albums. I can see the reasoning behind both strategies.

Funny thing though, The Michael Jackson album could have easily fit all the remixes on the album. Its like what 8 tracks? plus 9 remixes? 16-17 tracks total. With 2Pac it would have to be different because they have so many songs to use, only using 8 would be a downright shame.

Check this list out. It is kind of a interesting read when you check out all the songs. You will notice he originally recorded a lot of songs in the 80's and then sometimes he would re-work the song in 99-2003. Just like he did with Xscape in 99 and then again in 2003. I wonder if that means totally different recordings or him adding vocals to existing vocals. I assume a whole new recording because his voice would have been different. He seemed like 2Pac in regard to re-doing old songs but the time difference is larger.

Then there are several that say they are unfinished. Makes me wonder how they will get all those alternate recordings and unfinished songs out there. If its just a single chorus in some cases, I wonder if they will just never put that out on anything, give it to another artist, have someone else come in and sing around it. A lot of fans may hate that. Maybe another future boxset with cuts like those.

They said they chose the most complete songs for the Xscape album but I don't think they did. Several songs are just choruses and a little bridge. Some seem incomplete. Just has the chorus repeat over and over. I like all the songs on the album but makes you wonder why they chose these songs and why only 8 tracks? There has to be a lot of songs with more vocals then this.

Its funny, they started working with 40 songs, cut it down to 24, then down to 8, they must have something else up their sleeves im all for timbaland working on more MJ music.

Yeah and that Chicago song seems cut too. I think there is a lot that they worked on and just decided to save the others for future albums. Kind of just like milking it I guess. Which I do not blame them, they should look ahead and balance out the material instead of just putting all the most complete songs on one album and having tons of unfinished songs and single hooks/choruses left

But looking at that list on wikipedia, they could have added several more songs. Just seems odd. Probably will get another album in 2015 or 2016 with the same exact songs they scrapped from this project or new mixes. I do not think those songs will be that outdated if they do another album in the next couple years.

Yup, I guess great artists do that. The list is quite impressive and its all confirmed tracks. What was the occasion he had deposition in 93?
And wow, sony is going to release 10 albums in total.

The reason for it was a copyright infringement suit he had to face along with Lionel Richie, Quincy Jones, Rod Temperton and Joseph Jackson. The lawsuit came after three songwriters alleged that the pop star and his fellow defendants had plagiarised the hits “The Girl Is Mine”, “Thriller” and “We Are the World”.
