Despite being arrested for a gun back in January, cops are just now charging Soulja Boy with a weapons possession charge.
The rapper (real name: DeAndre Cortez Way) was popped in Los Angeles in January when cops stopped a Porsche he was riding passenger in. Under the seat, they discovered a loaded handgun.
While Soulja Boy was arrested during the incident, the investigation has dragged on for months.
He initially blamed his neighbor, saying he had borrowed the car and stashed the Smith & Wesson .38 caliber revolver. According to TMZ.com, Soulja Boy now faces misdemeanor charges of unlawfully carrying a loaded firearm... in addition to a marijuana possession charge.
