Days after he published a 15-minute video on Facebook claiming he was broke and living at a Holiday Inn, TMZ reports former Creed frontman Scott Stapp was recently placed on psychiatric hold.
According to a Madison County, Florida, Sheriff's Department report obtained by TMZ, Stapp was found on the side of a road on November 13 "wasted, incoherent and rambling" about how someone was trying to poison him. Police placed him on a 72-hour psychiatric hold.
Then Jaclyn Stapp, Scott's wife who filed for divorce last month, filed legal documents claiming Scott, a gun owner, made threats to kill both himself and his AA sponsor. From TMZ:
Jaclyn says Scott hears phantom voices and has visions of people on fire. She says he's also paranoid. He left a message with the dean of his kid's school on November 10, warning that the school was about to become the target of an ISIS attack.
TMZ reports Jaclyn dismissed her petition to imprisoned Scott on Friday, hoping that "she can accomplish her goal by communicating with him and convincing him he needs help."
