    1. Rap Group Vanished

In the mid '90s (1993-1997,) I worked at this record shop in Pueblo, Colorado. I remember that there was this album that got reissued in 1995 called "Sum Real Rad Shit" by a Brooklyn hip-hop group called Tha Burden Crew that was a HUGE deal because it was one of the most hip-hop albums of all time even though the vinyl pressing was for some reason super rare. Also, I remember actually SEEING this band open for De La Soul on a reunion tour in Denver at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in early 2001. I also remember only one of three members being alive after one OD'd in 2002 and another got shot in mid-2006. I remember this because the news was all over that and some friends and I all raised a glass to the main guy from Tha Burden Crew after he got shot. Apparently none of this ever happened, there is no record of there being an album called Sum Real Rad Shit or there even being a Burden Crew, and that De La never played at Red Rocks in 2001. I'm talking to a bunch of my friends about this, and my old coworkers at the shop, and it's pretty split down the middle about wether this group exists, and weirdly enough, nobody who remembers them agrees on the fate of the members, from them still existing and having JUST released an album a few months ago to them all dying pretty early in their career in a plane crash in 1994 while on tour, which was part of what made their first album so popular. Anybody remember anything about this band? I can't find ANYTHING about them whatsoever and I'm freaking out.

    2. Rap Superstar

Okay I am seriously tripping out hardcore at the moment. Mind you, I could usually care less about rap but this is just wrong on every level imaginable.

For several years, my younger brother and my gf have been HUGE fans of this guy who calls himself D-N-A. He came out around 08 and basically blew up overnight. The dude is basically Lil Wayne status. Anyway, after watching his story on TV and seeing a couple of his movies, I wasn't so quick to change the station when his songs came on.

This fucking guy is (was) talented as hell. He wrote for everybody in the business you can think of, and I became a fan when "Thicker Than Water" came out. It's a show about vampires that HBO picked up right after "True Blood". Ppl EVERYWHERE where complaining that it was "too soon" until it aired and it was fuckin awesome. It was cool as shit! The second ep was called "In Vein" and every episode started off with biblical quotes about blood. Hell, even Jack The Ripper was a main character!!! Their eyes turned white when they fed and everything.

This is where shit gets real. The season ended after like the fourth or fifth episode and poof it was gone. Just like that. I asked a co-worker a few days ago about what the hell happened to that show, and he looked at me like I grew a second head. He told me to quote "Lay off that shit dude". At lunch when everyone usually would talk about the show, were now talking about everything but and I was stuck getting stares.

I feel like I'm losing my grip on sanity here. My gf joked and said I must've hit my head harder than I thought. I was in a mini fender bender last week, and being the Redditor I am, started thinking about the Mandela Effect and this sub. It took me over four days to access my password here since my email locked me out. My security questions wouldn't answer, and when I finally took a stab in the dark at it, it was an old password from three years ago.

What really has me on edge was when I talked to my little brother. He claims that it was odd that I would bring up "the dude on Soundcloud he just discovered by accident" not an hour prior. Listen to me, I am really really scared about what the hell is going on, especially now that Reba McIntyre is now "McEntire" and Forrest Gump now says "Life WAS like a box of chocolates". WTF is going on??!! Part of me wants to check into a psych ward but the inner skeptic in me finds this fascinating on some level. As for D-N-A, the unknown artist is him alright. "Hey Shawty" was a top ten about 5 years ago. Here's the link https://m.soundcloud.com/rapstar919

I'm going to try to reach him somehow. He may think I'm even crazier than I feel when I tell him he's already a star and doesn't know it yet. God, this even looks crazy when I type it smdh

TL;DR I remember clearly a superstar entertainer who as of the last few days is now an unknown upstart artist. THIS IS NOT A TROLL POST. Thinking about checking myself into a psych ward.

MAJOR UPDATE: Thank God someone else remembers!!! I knew I couldn't be the only one. Wow, just wow.
