Rapper Too Short and one of his associates were briefly jailed early Thursday after Boise police say they got into a fight with security workers at the Knitting Factory concert club following a concert.
Too Short is charged with three counts of misdemeanor battery while associate Michael T. Walton, 38, of Modesto, Calif., is charged with two counts of misdemeanor battery. Both were taken to the Ada County Jail early Thursday, where they were released after posting bond.
Boise police were called to the Knitting Factory just after 11 p.m. Wednesday to investigate a report of a fight. Three employees of the club who work security told police they had been punched, kicked and pushed by Shaw and Walton after telling Shaw he could not take underage girls backstage and into his dressing room, according to police reports.
Shaw and Walton have court dates scheduled for Aug. 4 and the charge of misdemeanor battery is punishable by up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.
