DeVante Swing, a founding member of '90s R&B group Jodeci, recently surfaced in the media, but not for his music ... for an arrest instead.
TMZ obtained footage of the 41-year-old singer (real name: Donald DeGrate Jr.) at a Subway restaurant in Burbank, Calif. on Sunday (November 7) noticeably intoxicated and belligerent.
DeVante was so wasted/drunk that he was unable to walk straight and crashed into tables inside the Subway location ... and it was all captured on film.
A concern citizen called the police at around 5 p.m., and then arrived they arrested Swing for being drunk in public and was hauled off to jail.
DeVante was held in the drunk tank for around six hours, until finally sobering up, and then released at around 11 p.m. that night.
He will not be charged with a crime, reported TMZ.
DeVante isn't the only member from Jodeci struggling with to stay sober. Members, K-Ci & Jo Jo, starred in a TV One reality series called "K-Ci & Jo Jo ... Come Clean" as of late. In it, the brothers lived together for the first time and battle their substance addictions together.
In the 1990s, Jodeci rose to fame and enjoyed success with a string of hit singles and platinum albums until the group went on hiatus after 1998.
