It's been a while since we've had an update on Nate Dogg, the west coast legend who's graced the hooks of massively successful hits by the likes of Dr. Dre, Ludacris, Eminem and 50 Cent, among others.
In December 2007 and September 2008, the crooner suffered two strokes that left him partially paralyzed and has been undergoing rehabilitation to re-learn basic motor functions, including speech and walking. "He's getting good therapy and he's pulling out of it," Warren G said back in January.
In a recent interview with HipHollywood.com, longtime collaborator Warren G discussed recent Nate's progress, revealing that the singer is still in therapy and is asking that fans and peers help out.
"Nate is in a lot of therapy right now. We actually got a website coming out where people can send donations," Warren explained. "That's gonna help out with him, help him get back on his feet. Plus us in the industry, we're gonna do a lot to help out with him."
Will Nate Dogg recover and sing again? Warren G isn't sure, but remains hopeful.
"Everybody just gotta keep him in their prayers, cause he had two strokes and that's real dangerous. And a lot of people don't come back from that," he said. "Luther Vandross did it, so hopefully Nate can do it. Cause the game needs him, I need him."
At press time, when the website -- where donations would be taken for Nate Dogg -- would be launched was unknown.
