Ja Rule Dropping 2 Albums on 6/7/11

Straight From Rule's own mouth.. (well his Twitter & facebook page at least.) Ja Rule is dropping 2 albums on June 6th, the day before he heads to jail for a 2 year stint. Album #1 we already knew about... The Renaissance Project, however it looks like we'll be getting a 2nd album as well... Pain is Love 2 is set to drop as well. Keep you're hatin' to yourself, The rap game has been in the crapper for years, I'm stoked for this.

This is going to be the best year of music (for me) since the early 2000's.

So as an update to my original post... latest word is that The Renaissance Project will be an official pressed album available in stores and online... this we knew. However news on Pain is Love 2 is trickling in, and the latest info on this has the album Being a new never before attempted project. Apparently, The "album" will be an App of some sort. With Ja going to Jail on June 7th, the App will release on either the 6th or 7th. It will initially include a few tracks, however after purchase, the app will be periodically updated over the course of the next 2 years while Ja is in prision. The updates will include, videos, pictures, and of course new music. Essentially, what it seems like as of this writing, is that ALL of the recorded music from Ja over the last year or 2 (possibly longer) will eventually see release as part of this app project. If this turns out to be accurate, it should be pretty spectacular. Imagine if this had been done by Pac during his Me Against the World jail time, or even if it had been done after All Eyez on Me had been released. Essentially we should get Ja's top picks as Part of The Renissance project, however to me it seems that Pain is Love 2, will be a sort of expansion on that project, and allow fans to hear all the scraps and everything else that was recorded for Love is Pain, The Mirror, and The Rennissance Project. I'll update with more details as they come in, but it sounds groundbreaking and quite promising as of now.
