Rick Ross has released the semi-autobiographical record called "Mafia Music" where he also spends part of his verse on 50 Cent's family issues and house fire.
The "Boss" dropped his new track over the weekend.
"I'm stepping on your crew 'til the motherf*ckers crunch," he rapped, "And making sweet love to every woman that you lust/I love to pay your bills, can't wait to pay your rent/Curtis Jackson baby mama ain't looking for a cent/Burn the house down, gotta buy another/Don't forget the gas can, jealous motherf*cker..."
The 50 reference stems from the G-Unit leader's suspicious Long Island house fire last May.
The Dix Hills home owned by 50 Cent that was gutted by a suspicious fire is at the center of a contentious legal battle between the rapper and his former girlfriend. The early morning blaze destroyed the 5,200-square-foot home at Sandra Drive within minutes. Six people who were inside, including the rapper's ex-girlfriend, Shaniqua Tompkins, and the former couple's son, Marquise, 11, were treated for minor injuries. (Newsday)
His new track comes less than a month since departing from Slip-N-Slide Records.
It is official: Rick Ross is off of Slip-N-Slide Records and will be putting out his next project on his own label, Maybach Music Group."That's what makes the record real special. It just takes everybody a little deeper into my world," he said. "I can't lie: I'm dropping the B-side. It's titled 'Mafia Music' and it's gonna cause a lot of problems. It's a scathing four-and-half-minute nonstop flow, me being autobiographical about my life and my come-up and my triumph. Of course, I had to address a few things, I had to address a few people." Ross' new song is likely to cause a reaction from 50 who recently addressed a one-line diss from a Lil' Wayne record.
"I really don't look at him like he's in competition, you gotta have a lot of consistency before we put him in a space where he's equivalent -- he had a great album -- but he makes a lot of records and I think he's gonna exhaust the public with his sound," 50 said. "Canibus was a talented artist and he came at the wrong time towards LL Cool J. Now, if he makes the mistake of responding, and then we go back and forth and my album is what I believe it is, and it hits the streets as hard as it's gonna hit it, then how does your next record feel?
