More details on Lil Wayne's first rock album "The Rebirth" are starting to come out. The producers behind his first single "Prom Queen" , Infamous & Drew Correa, say "There were rumors Wayne was working on a rock album, but I assumed it was just 808 drums with guitars on it," Infamous said. "But, that night when we worked on the track, [Wayne] said he wanted lots of drums, bass and guitars. Drew started to add organs, and [Wayne] said no. That's when I realized it was actually going to be a real rock album. You gotta give him credit - he's done everything he can with hip-hop and has proven himself. Now he's about to prove himself as a rocker and we're excited to be a part of it."
As previously reported, Lil Wayne will release his first Rock album "The Rebirth" on April 7th. Wayne will perform the first single "Prom Queen" for the first time live on AT&T's Facebook page on 27 January between 9-10 p.m. PST
