It's been a minute since we heard from former Shady Records recording artist, Obie Trice. While he dropped a compilation titled Special Reserve in 2009, the Detroit rapper's last official solo release came in 2006 with his sophomore album, Second Round's On Me.
Since then, he's left Shady Records and is focusing on his own indie label.
However, Obie is back. The rapper is currently hard at work on his third solo album Bottoms Up, set to drop on his own Black Market Entertainment label; and tells XXLMag.com that it will feature a familiar collaborator.
"It could be more [than two Eminem-featured songs]," Trice said this week, revealing that Em would appear, at least twice, on his forthcoming project.
So far, Obie dropped the album's first single "Battle Cry", which is available now on iTunes.
He also revealed that Em will appear on a track called "No Turning Back," while both Em and Dre will have production credits.
Despite no longer being signed to Shady, it looks like his relationship with his mentor is still intact.
At press time, there was no release date for the project.
