Bonus track: Believe

We have a few news bits on Ja Rule’s album Pain Is Love 2. First off, above is a track list after the master of the album but the features are still TBA. Second, Hype Williams has been confirmed as the director for ‘Real Life Fantasy’ and has just turned in the first draft of the video. Third, the album has been pushed back to November / December from its original October 11th date mainly due to sample clearance issues.

Yeah the post went out earlier this evening from Seven. More news that was left out of your post...

-Believe is a Bonus track that shows up after 2 minutes on the end of "Pray".
-Real Life Fantasy and Black Vodka will be released on Itunes very soon.
-Real Life Fantasy had to be re-recorded (Pretty sure the Queen sample has been removed)
-The album (in the photo) was recently mastered for the 2nd time meaning tweaks to the tracks.
-There are rumours of a Deluxe edition of the album with at least 2 extra tracks... (this is HIGHLY speculative however)
-The actual release date is Q4 not November or December. Depending if they are going by the calendar year or fiscal year this could mean a much longer delay. (Fiscal year ends in April)

I'm working on a massive update at the moment as well... I'm up to nearly 60+ new tracks for my post in the discography section. I've got material from 1995 all the way up 2011, including a few tracks from the shelved 2002 CMC (cash money click) Project that had promotion and everything but never dropped. I'm working on organizing, and getting correct information for each song but everytime I think I'm about finished I stumble across another series of songs...

The simple answer... Sampling issues. There's been issues getting some samples cleared which has resulted in the delays.

The long answer...

1) Sample issues
2) Ja Rule and Seven really want to make the best possible album they can and have been extra careful in their selection of tracks. The original June 7th date was set, however quickly changed as Ja "got n the zone" and began recording a bunch of other tracks he wanted on the album.
3) Ja Rule has been trying to assemble "The old team".. He's been working on getting Ashanti and Lloyd on the album, as well as R. Kelly and possibly some others. He's done extensive work with the Game these past few years and although theres been no mention of him appearing, it wouldn't surprise me.
4) People dragging there feet. With Rule in Jail and pretty much the whole project in Sevens lap, there hasn't been this major push to get it done by anyone but seven. Hype Williams has supposedly been the worst example of this as his video editing/producing has taken over 2 months at this point.

and probably the biggest reason...

5) No one really knows what the fuck they're doing. Since Ja Rule is independent he's had to do everything. Without Irv Gotti there hasn't been someone to crack the whip and get things rolling. People are unknowledgeable about how to proceed and don't have anyone forcing them to work harder. Fontaine is distributing, but thats all... The June 7th Date was a legitimate date that was passed on to make the album better. The october 11th date was more of a place holder. No one really knows for sure when this thing will (or if it will) be completed... Without a go to guy like Irv Gotti, the process has been incredibly slow and arduous.
