they were both lyrically dope as hell... and had some great flows.. as far as freestlying went.. i would have to go with L no doubt... but overall im gonna have to go with PUN cuz he had all the success and got some time to shine before he passed.. its hard to tell how far L could have gone... its a shame cuz the sky is the limit....

Big L all the way! I never really liked Pun at all. The only song I do like of his really is "Twinz (Deep Cover)" with Fat Joe. That song rips shit up, Pun got some crazy ass tongue twister shit goin on in his verse. But L got some funny ass shit "Ask Beavis..I get nothin but head" L's punchlines are mad funny and I dig his style more than Pun so I go with Big L. (Shame like everybody who kills it is dead..wtfs up with that?)

I'm a huge fan of both L and Pun so it's hard to pick one. I would say that L definitely had the rep for being one of the best MC's in NY first so he has that seniority but Pun could kill lyrics too. I'd say it's a draw.
