Popular 1980s rapper, Tone Loc, reportedly collapsed onstage on Saturday night (October 15) during a performance in Atlanta, reports TMZ.
The 45-year-old rapper (real name: Terrell Smith) was suffering from exhaustion, his manager says. After the incident, he was transported to a nearby hospital and put on an IV.
The next morning, his manager told TMZ he was fine.
Witnesses at the concert tells TMZ that Loc suffered from a seizure during the performance. However, nothing has been confirmed.
His manager claims exhaustion from overworking himself, adding that the rapper had done 12 shows in the last two months.
Loc suffered a similar episode back in May 2009, collapsing onstage during an outdoor concert in Florida. A local paper said he had begun the sixth song of his set, shortly after midnight, when he passed out.
Authorities said collapsed and had a seizure because of overheating.
Tone's camp chalked up the incident to jet lag and heat-related exhaustion. The temperature at the 2009 show was in the low 80s.
"Leading up to the show, Tone had flight problems including long layovers," his manager said the following day. "It took him about 12 hours to get to Pensacola from Burbank. Tone was exhausted and very hot onstage, and became ill because of it."
Loc's recent episode comes just a day after rapper Rick Ross was hospitalized TWICE in one day for seizures.
