Snoop Dogg & T.I. Appear At Nation of Islam Convention

Snoop Dogg made an appearance at the Nation of Islam's annual convention today (March 1) in Chicago.

Wearing sunglasses, a dark suit and a tie, the rapper spoke briefly in front of a crowd of thousands Sunday and praised Minister Louis Farrakhan, the leader of the Nation of Islam.

Farrakhan has long held relationships with famous rappers and hip-hop artists. Snoop called himself the leader of the "hip-hop community" and says he'll always seek out the minister.

Snoop gave a $1,000 donation to the Nation of Islam, then sat on stage and smiled and nodded as Farrakhan delivered a speech.

T.I. appeared via recorded video. He told followers that education is the key to success.

I don't see how Snoop has anything to do with the Nation of Islam. Just look at Snoop's lifestyle & lyrics. It is also suspected that Louis Farrakhan setup Malcolm X's murder. I don't trust them. It's nice to see Snoop having some level of social awareness, I guess. He should put it in his raps if he feels so strongly about it.
