Suge Knight has revealed that he supports singer Chris Brown, who allegedly assaulted his girlfriend Rihanna.
“Chris Brown is the homie. I got more love for Chris Brown than anybody,” Knight said as he puffed on a cigar. “
The controversial Death Row mogul was interviewed by a paparazzi for tmz.com and explained his reasoning.
“One of the things Chris Brown did before…at the time, my daughter was turning 14 years old and it was her birthday,” he said. “They were having a concert in [Las] Vegas. He pulled her on stage…sang happy birthday to her. He ain’t have to do that. He showed a lot of respect. So, therefore I’m going to ride with him 1,000%.”
When asked if he had talked to Brown, Knight replied with a chuckle, “I don’t do no telling.”
In February, Suge Knight avoided jail time after pleading guilty to beating his girlfriend. He was fined and sentenced to community service and counseling.
Chris Brown and Rihanna have reunited and are now together in Los Angeles according to reports. Brown was arrested on suspicion of criminal threats, but has yet to be formally charged with a crime.
