encore and relapse were shockingly bad, recovery was good but still doesnt match his early work.

i still remember being dissapointed when i first bought encore.

I love his first three albums. I never gave the last two much attention. He needs to go back to what gave him so many fans. If it isn't broke then don't fix it. It sucks knowing he's capable of making great tracks and isn't doing it.

This is true but time's are now different after loosing proof em lost much of his ambition and it moved him into the more emotional kind of music we here on current albums. He does still have that crazy slim shady persona in him for sure but it seems he doesn't wanna bring it out he has done some of his best work when beefing so perhaps a beef needs to be sparked to put him back in that thinking mode.

Yea I agree, Plus Remember he is alot older now then when he first dropped his first albums.

You guys think pac would still make the same music 10-15 years after the makaveli album? Look how his music changed from 91-96. I doubt pac would still make useless songs like hit em up etc when he was still here. People are getting older, and stop making this rebel/fuck everyone kind of music when getting older.

I'm an Em fan since day one. And frankly now that i look back i prefered relapse to recovery. But im still looking forward to the new album.

I thought relapse was dope as fuck. Probably one of my favorite Em albums. Eminem even hates on it saying something like "my last album, that shits in the trash".The album was like 90% produced by DRE, the beats were dope. The lyrics were, for lack of better words, fuckin insane. Em at his best imo. He said for Relapse he wanted to go back to his sick and twisted druggy roots, I love the whole serial killer thing, that shits sick. No one can fucking touch those lyrics, they're lyrically insane. I can pretty much listen to every track. The only one I don't is "We Made You" cause it's a little played out, but every other track is sick!

The Refill bonus tracks are even dope. Music Box? Sick! Listen to that third verse, lyrically insane. Even the itunes bonus tracks were dope. "My Darling" the conversation he has with his alter go Slim Shady, and the Shady gets Dre on the phone. Classic Eminem

the first 2 albums are overrated!!!

                              that's how I see it:

The Slim Shady LP: Guilty Conscience, If I Had, Role Model, Rock Bottom ... 4 of 20 tracks are good ...too many interludes
The Marshal Mathers LP: Stan, The Way I Am, Bitch Please II ...3 of 18 tracks are good ....too many interludes
The Eminem Show: White America, Cleanin' Out My Closet, Soldier, Say Good Bye Hollywood, Without Me, Sing For The Moment, Superman, Hailie's Song, 'Till I Collapse ...9 of 20 tracks are good ...has also many interludes but the tracks are dope
Encore: Like Toy Soldiers, Mosh, Just Lose It, Mockingbird ...3 of 20 tracks are good also many interludes
Relapse: 3 am, My Mom, Hello, We Made You, Beautiful, Crack The Bottle (even with 50 Cent) 6 of 20 tracks are good
Recovery: Cold Wind Blows, Talkin' 2 My Self, Wont Back Down, W.T.P., Going Through Changes, Not Afraid, Sedudaction, Space Bound, 25 To Life, Love They Way You Lie, You're Never Over 10 of 17 tracks are good ...no interludes, yeah.

The Eminem Show & Recovery are his best albums!!!!
