  • Rihanna's Former Accountants Claim Singer Is Responsible For Losing Millions, Not The

Rihanna filed a lawsuit against her former accounting firm in early July, claiming they duped her out of millions ... and now, the company has filed back, saying the singer's losses are her own fault.

In Riri's suit, she claims New York-based Berdon LLP mismanaged her money, resulting in the loss of millions.

Specifically, she points to her 2009 "Last Girl on Earth" tour, where the firm pocketed 22% of the profits, while it had accrued "significant net losses" despite robust revenues. She claims she was paid just 6% of revenues.

According to TMZ, Berdon has struck back in legal docs, claiming any accusations of shoddy accounting and money mismanagement are untrue. They state that Rihanna signed off on the comission they took, and that any loss of monies was because of Rihanna's "own financial action or inaction" or the actions of others working for her.

Rihanna is seeking unspecified damages against New York-based Berdon LLP and two accountants.

A judge has yet to rule in the case.
