Miami rapper Bizzle, also known as Chowtime, was shot and killed Monday (October 15) after an argument at a Miami car wash in Liberty City.
According to Miami police, officers on patrol in the area heard gunshots around 8 p.m. and began canvassing the area. The rapper's body was found in the corner of the car wash. His son and daughter, both under 10 years-old, were found sitting in his SUV.
"Fortunately, they didn't see the actual incident and they are currently right now unharmed with family members, " said police spokesman detective, Willie Moreno.
"This is someone that was definitely loved, not just by his family but by his community," he added.
Clearly distraught, family members had to be briefly detained to protect crime scene evidence and were later released.
The 37-year-old rapper (born Robert Branche) was shot multiple times outside of the car wash, which according to friends, he owned part of. No arrests have been made as of press time, but police are currently searching for one male suspect in his 20s, who fled the scene wearing all black.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Miami Police Department's Homicide Unit at 305-603-6350, or Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
Our condolences go out to the family of Robert "Bizzle" Branche.
