Singer Kelis has filed for divorce from her rapper husband Nas.
She is seven months' pregnant with their first child.
The story first broke on vibe.com, with a spokesperson for Kelis telling the website: "I can confirm that she has filed for divorce. We request the media to respect her privacy during this very difficult time."

The website posted Kelis' divorce petition online, which cites irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.
Kelis, whose full name is Kelis Rogers-Jones, and Nas, whose full name is Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones, dated for two years before marrying in Atlanta in January 2005.
