Shyne has wasted no time in replying to Compton rapper Game, who dissed him in his new song “Cough Up a Lung.”
Game’s new track “Cough Up a Lung” takes several shots at Shyne, who expressed his dissatisfaction with Kendrick Lamar’s new album good kid, m.A.A.d. city.
Shyne called in to Streetkode.com/HomegrownRadio and commented on Game’s diss track.
“Everybody is somebody in their own mind, but at the end of the day it comes down to what you did,” Shyne said. “None of these dudes can say they faced what I faced and perform the way that I performed. I don’t care if you got a blue rag or red rag, that don’t make you gangster, that don’t make you no mobster.”
Shyne dismissed any possibility that his West Coast “pass” will be revoked when he comes back to the United States.
According to Shyne, it makes no difference that Game publicly claims his membership in the Blood’s street gang.
“I always got love for Game, thats my son, he’s something that I helped create,” Shyne said. “He studied me and aspired to be like me. He seen a street guy that was really off the block, that was really bout that life. I got a lot of love for him, I look at him like a little brother. But sometimes your little brother do things that don’t make no sense.”
Shyne said that although he and Game have yet to speak, he may have taken a different approach, had he known that Kendrick Lamar was associated with Game, a rapper whom he respects.
“I didn’t even know the Lamar kid was cool with him like that,” Shyne said. “if I had knew he was cool with him like that, I might not of said nothing.”
