Nas continues to battle the IRS, as the state of Georgia has just filed a lien against the rapper’s earnings.
TMZ.com reports that the Georgia Department of Revenue has garnished Nas’ wages over taxes owed for 2006 2007, 2009 and 2010.
The rapper currently owes $1,083,435 to Georgia, which is now garnishing the rapper’s earnings from a tour with Live Nation.
Live Nation is the company that is promoting Nas’ current tour with Lauryn Hill.
The state seeks the wages from the outing in order to pay the debt.
Ironically, next week (November 27), co-headliner Lauryn Hill could be sentenced to up to three years in prison, for failing to pay taxes on $1.5 million she earned over the past decade.
