Wiz Khalifa has a lot of be thankful for this year. He just dropped a new album, which is expected to top the charts, he's engaged and in love, is expecting his first child... and now, his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is honoring the local superstar.
The rapper appeared in Pittsburgh's City Council chambers with his family on Monday morning (December 11) to accept a proclamation for being an ambassador for his hometown.
According to Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the council has declared December 12, 2012 to be "Wiz Khalifa Day."
Wiz, who is in town for a performance at Consol Energy Center on Tuesday (December 12), was humbled by the honor. He said that "he has always bragged about being from Pittsburgh and that he doesn't feel as though he's accomplished much yet."
Wiz Khalifa's O.N.I.F.C. is out now.
