Following Freddie Gibbs' departure from Young Jeezy's CTE label, the Atlanta hip-hop star announced new business for the imprint, revealing that he's landed new distribution and "pressed reset."
Previously named Senior VP of A&R for Atlantic, the rapper has inked a deal with Atlantic as well, for his new CTE World label. According to a press release, the imprint "is dedicated to the commitment of finding, developing and launching the careers of new talent on a worldwide platform."
CTE World will operate under Jeezy's direction, in conjunction with Atlantic Chairman Craig Kallman.
"This is a fresh start for the CTE brand as we re-launch it," said Jeezy. "This is why I chose to wipe the slate clean and create an outlet to support and nurture new artists to the best of my ability."
To celebrate the announcement, Young Jeezy has dropped a new mixtape, entitled It's Tha World.
