Multi-platinum Hip-Hop artist Eminem has conquered music and film, and now the Detroit-based rapper is turning his attention to the Internet.
Em’s Shady Films and the multimedia entertainment studio Electus are producing the 6-part Web series “Detroit Rubber”.
The weekly reality-based program will follow Rick Williams and Roland “Ro” Coit, the co-owners of the popular sneaker boutique Burn Rubber, as they manage running a growing business and accommodating celebrity clients.
The first episode debuted yesterday (January 29th) on the Loud YouTube channel.
In the episode Detroit Tiger’s first baseman Prince Fielder stops by the downtown Royal Oak shop to purchase the rare 2004 Nike Air Jordan Retro Encore IVs. Later Slim Shady himself makes an appearance as Williams and Coit try to find the exclusive $5,500 pair of sneaks for Fielder.
New 10-minute episodes of “Detroit Rubber” will be uploaded each Tuesday.
Future shows will feature cameos by other famous Detroit entertainers including Big Sean, Mike Posner, Royce da 5’9″ and D-12′s Mr. Porter.
