Bronx bred rapper French Montana has finalized details for his first headlining tour, set to kick off on February 26 at the Rock and Roll Hotel in Washington, DC.
The Bad Boy/Interscope artist, who is also affiliated with Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group, will hit 17 dates, zigzagging across the country to perform in cities like New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Denver, Detroit and San Francisco.
“This is my first official headline tour,” French Montana said in a statement released to the press. “Everything has been leading up to this and the release of my album. I’m just excited to get on the road and see my fans, share my music and include them on this journey.”
French kicks off his “Excuse My French Tour,” in support of his highly anticipated forthcoming album Excuse My French which will be available April 16 in stores and with digital retailers.
The album is set to be executive produced by Sean “Diddy” Combs and Rick Ross and co-executive produced by Harve Pierre for Bad Boy/Interscope.
In 2012, Montana was tapped by Drake to join his “Club Paradise” tour and has shared the stage with Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and Rick Ross and many more.
French has had quite a successful end of 2012 and early 2013 as his songs “Pop That,”found national success, featuring Rick Ross, Lil Wayne and Drake, and rising as high as #1 on the Billboard Hip Hop/R&B chart, garnering over 30 million views on VEVO.
French has also had success with the songs “Marble Floors” featuring Rick Ross, Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz, and the Young Chop produced “Ochocinco” featuring Bad Boy’s MGK, Los, Red Café and Diddy.
