Hip-hop mogul/producer Jermaine Dupri has a long history in the genre, helping break acts like Bow Wow, Da Brat, Kriss Kross, R&B group Xscape, and the list goes on. Most of those names were introduced under his So So Def imprint, which he launched 20 years ago. Now, he plans to celebrate the occasion with a star-studded concert later this month in Atlanta, so he stopped by Power 105.1's The Breakfast to reminisce a bit.
During the interview, Dupri discussed the concert, his legacy in hip-hop, rumors of financial trouble, and his thoughts on new acts of today, including Frank Ocean, Trinidad James, Odd Future and more.
