Los Angeles rap vet Evidence announced this week the fourth installment of his instrumental series, entitled Green Tape Instrumentals.
While Ev is known for his lyrical contributions to the Dilated Peoples, he's also established himself as a capable solo artist and budding producer. His debut solo album, The Weatherman, was an acclaimed effort, following by his second solo LP, Cats & Dogs.
His forthcoming Green Tape Instrumentals is a collection of music mostly written and released from 2006 to 2010, along with a few unreleased tracks and follows the similarly-named Yellow Tape Instrumentals, Purple Tape Instrumentals, and his 2007 Decon release, Red Tape Instrumentals.
It features 20 cuts of thunderous drums and deft sample chops that showcase Ev's beat-making prowess.
Green Tape Instrumentals is slated to drop June 25th, via Decon.
