While in New York City recently Waka Flocka Flame spoke about his lack of interest in Hip-Hop, his philanthropic work, and his move into television and film.
“I’m not a Hip-Hop fan,” says Waka. “I can’t even tell you where Hip-Hop started. God’s honest truth.” The 26-year-old went on to share that he is more interested in exploring other genres like EDM.
Outside of music, Waka revealed he is working on a show for Cartoon Network and a few movie deals. He is also focused on a several community-based projects.
One of his charitable ventures has hit a snag. The Atlanta-based rapper said he is having trouble getting approval to build a YMCA in his neighborhood.
